TokenLock 4.06 bugs to be fixed in 4.07

We have heard from several users that they have issues with TokenLock 4.06. We are fixing the bugs and in fact are rewriting the Bluetooth routines completely.

You can test our latest beta on the beta software page, and once we are satisfied all is well, we will resubmit to the app store.

UC Plugins 0.987 released

Adds support for FF 5.x and 6.x as well as escapes + signs.

TokenLock 4.0 hits the App Store

New this version:

Hide the TokenLock icon.

Option to auto-unlock screen saver when the device is returned.

Re-lock if password is entered but the device is still disconnected.

TokenLock 3.95 has gone live and 4.0 has been submitted to Apple

4.0 adds:

Ability to check a USB device's serial number… which is important because

Ability to unlock your Mac (Types in your password)

Ability to hide the TokenLock menu

and some other stuff I can't remember...

Mediatransfer cut-off images/bad movies an iOS bug.

We have confirmed that for those users who see cut-off pictures or bad movies, or missing images/movies on Windows7 that this is a bug in iOS.

The active FTP on some users' iPhones and iPads actually stops sending prematurely resulting in bad images and movies. Some servers delete partially transferred files, resulting in missing images.

We are working with Apple to get a bug logged and have them fix the issue.

TokenLock 3.9 Submitted to Apple

Fixes an issue where some USB devices do not show up to be chosen.

TokenLock 3.7 Submitted to Apple

More granularity of how often Bluetooth checks are done. Ability to run an App, Applescript or shell when TokenLock locks your Mac.
Ability to run an App, Applescript or shell when the device it is monitoring is connected again.
Ability to set the bluetooth search timeout.
Fixed a bug where overlay popups would switch the active space sometimes.

Updates to WatchDrift, Conference Scheduler and TokenLock

New updates out this week add functionality to all three apps:

WatchDrift: Many UI changes including easier to read clock for setting your timepiece. Ability to click a drift point on the graph to see the delta in drift between the measurement and the last measurement.

TokenLock: Ability to turn TokenLock off for a predetermined amount of time. Warnings 1 minute before it re-enables.

Conference Scheduler 6.0 goes live on the Mac App Store

Conference Scheduler allows you to easily set up Webex conferences from your Mac.

Features:
Select Date, Time and duration.
Select users from your address book, or your corporate LDAP server.
Stores WebEx credentials in your Keychain.
Schedules the meeting and copies the invite to your clipboard automatically.
Hold down option while launching to instantly create and join a new meeting.

Note: Webex's APIs do not support HighQuality video scheduling yet, so WebexScheduler can not schedule conferences with High Quality video.

TokenLock 3.5 goes live on the Mac App Store

Tokenlock 3.5 has been released tot he app store after almost 5 months. Wow. Wonder if that was worth it!

TokenLock - Lock your Mac when you walk away.

Tokenlock helps you improve the security of your Mac by locking it when you:

Remove a USB device you have designated from your Mac.

Move a bluetooth device out of bluetooth range of your Mac.

Tokenlock was designed to increase the security of your Mac by automatically turning on the screen saver, or locking your system whenever a USB device or a Bluetooth device are removed from your system.

You can tell it to monitor almost any USB device, such as a hard token like YubiKey, a removable flash drive or any other USB device for that matter. Whenever the device is disconnected it will immediately lock your Mac.

Tokenlock can monitor any Bluetooth device to check if it is removed from range, such as your cellphone, headset or other Bluetooth device. Token lock checks periodically based on a schedule you choose to see if the Bluetooth device can still be seen. You can set diffent schedules based on whether or not your Mac is plugged into power or is simply on battery to conserve battery power.
Tokenlock checks for the device instead of having to have the device paired with your Mac, since not all devices can "connect" using Bluetooth but may still be seen in the Bluetooth device list.

In addition, you can easily lock your Mac manually using the TokenLock menu.

Tokenlock can be set to required a password to change settings or to quit the app, further securing your system.

Features:
MultiThreading: Checks are done in the background, so that TokenLock remains responsive.
Sleep Aware: When the computer sleeps, this causes USB disconnections. TokenLock is smart enough to realize this and avoids “Double locking” your Mac when the USB device you choose has not re-initialized yet after sleep mode.

Note: TokenLock only locks your Mac. Having it auto-unlock a Mac would be a security risk since anyone could use a similar device to bypass your security.

TokenLock in Review again...

Who knows...

WatchDrift 1.0 submitted to App Store

WatchDrift is an app that allows you to monitor your mechanical watches to see how much they gain or loose time... over time.

Whenever you adjust the time on your timepiece, you simply enter the current time as shown on your watch in the app, and it determines the difference in seconds between that time and the current computer time, and records it.

Now you have a history of your watch's time drift and can determine better when it its time to send it in for service.

The app shows graphs of your watch's time drift on the bottom of the window so you can tell how your watch is doing over time.

New Windows 7 and Vista Setup

We have redone our videos and tutorials for setting up an FTP server on Windows 7 and Windows Vista - we now use the standard Microsoft IIS FTP server.

This has solved the last remaining PC Firewall issues.

We encourage all Windows 7 or Windows Vista users to remove FileZilla (Start->Control Panels->Programs)  and follow our detailed instructions to set up Windows 7 or Vista.

Email Support button changed and configuration as well as log data is automatically entered into the email.

Marking all items as already transferred:

Setting to allow you to mark all your existing pictures as "Already uploaded" - the opposite functionality of "Clear all remembered items".

Cleaned up settings UI keyboard interaction: Better iPad support in terms of  UI.

Working with Camera Connection Kit

I just went to the Apple Store and bought an iPad camera connection kit so we can test using MediaTransfer on photos imported from your cameras...

There is no way for us to distinguish between items synced from iTunes vs items imported using the camera connection kit.

In the meantime, we have a workaround in the app... which has been sent to Apple for posting on the App store.

Bug ID 8823029 has been filed with Apple for this.

MediaTransfer Google Group set up for discussions

We just set up a Google group for users to discuss MediaTransfer setups. There are hundreds of users using various FTP servers, ISPs and firewall configurations - this is  a great place to share experiences.

Click here to visit the group now.
